The golden ratio appears wherever a system is growing in a way that maintains consistent proportional relationships between its parts — where the ratio of the larger to the smaller always equals the ratio of their sum to the larger. The Platonic solids — tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, icosahedron — are the only convex polyhedra whose faces are identical regular polygons. The geometry is built into the substrate of reality at its smallest scale.
The structure Haramein identifies in the Planck field — based on the 64-tetrahedron grid, the isotropic vector matrix, and the vector equilibrium (the cuboctahedron, which Buckminster Fuller identified as the geometry of maximum structural efficiency) — is a precise geometric arrangement of the foundational medium. Not imposed on the vacuum from outside. Inherent to it. The vacuum has a geometry.
This resolves a question that the observation of sacred geometry in nature raises but cannot by itself answer: why these specific geometries and not others? The answer is that these are the stable resonant patterns of the underlying medium.
